Final MAAC tournament seeding and bracket

Updated after all five games on Saturday, March 4 have gone final, here is the seeding and bracket for next week’s Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship, which begins Tuesday, March 7, at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City:

Iona (17-3): Has clinched Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference regular season championship, #1 seed in MAAC tournament, and automatic bid to National Invitation Tournament. The Gaels will play #8 Mount St. Mary’s or #9 Canisius in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 8 at 7 p.m.

Rider (13-7): Has clinched #2 seed and will play #7 Fairfield or #10 Saint Peter’s in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 8 at 9:30 p.m.

Quinnipiac (11-9): Has clinched #3 seed and will play #6 Manhattan or #11 Marist in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 9 at 7 p.m.

Siena (11-9): Has clinched #4 seed and will play #5 Niagara in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 9 at 9:30 p.m. 

Niagara (10-10): Has clinched #5 seed and will play #4 Siena in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 9 at 9:30 p.m.

Manhattan (10-10): Has clinched #6 seed and will play #11 Marist in the opening round on Tuesday, March 7 at 10 p.m.

Fairfield (9-11): Has clinched #7 seed and will play #10 Saint Peter’s in the opening round on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m.

Mount St. Mary’s (8-12): Has clinched #8 seed and will play #9 Canisius in the opening round on Tuesday, March 7 at 5 p.m.

Canisius (8-12): Has clinched #9 seed and will play #8 Mount St. Mary’s in the opening round on Tuesday, March 7 at 5 p.m.

Saint Peter’s (7-13): Has clinched #10 seed and will play #7 Fairfield in the opening round on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m.

Marist (6-14): Has clinched #11 seed and will play #6 Manhattan in the opening round on Tuesday, March 7 at 10 p.m.
