Updated after victories by Canisius, Fairfield, Iona, Monmouth and Quinnipiac Friday night, here is the updated list of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference seeding and tiebreaker scenarios as they relate to next week's MAAC Men's Basketball Championship, held at Albany's Times Union Center from March 7-11:
Iona (12-6): Has clinched No. 1 seed, at least a share of the MAAC regular season championship, an automatic berth in the National Invitation Tournament, and will open the MAAC tournament in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m.
Canisius (11-7): Has clinched No. 2 seed, and will open the MAAC tournament in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 8, at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Quinnipiac (11-7): Has clinched No. 3 seed, and will open the MAAC tournament in the quarterfinals on Saturday, March 9, at 7 p.m.
Rider (11-7): Has clinched No. 4 seed, and will face No. 5 seed Siena in the quarterfinals on Saturday, March 9, at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Siena (11-7): Has clinched No. 5 seed, and will face No. 4 seed Rider in the quarterfinals on Saturday, March, 9, at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Monmouth (10-8): Has clinched No. 6 seed, and will face No. 11 seed Niagara at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday, March 7.
Manhattan (8-10): Has clinched No. 7 seed, and will face No. 10 seed Fairfield at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7.
Marist (7-11): Has clinched No. 8 seed, and will face No. 9 seed Saint Peter's at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 7.
Saint Peter's (6-12): Has clinched No. 9 seed, and will face No. 8 seed Marist at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 7.
Fairfield (6-12): Has clinched No. 10 seed, and will face No. 7 seed Manhattan at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7.
Niagara (6-12): Has clinched No. 11 seed, and will face No. 6 seed Monmouth at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday, March 7.
