Four months after being introduced as the successor to Chuck Martin at Marist, former New Orleans Hornets head coach and general manager Jeff Bower released his first nonconference schedule at the helm of the Red Foxes, one that holds true to his word of wanting to play against high-level competition.

Marist opens the 2013-14 campaign on the road at Pritchard Gym when they face Stony Brook on November 8th, returning the contest between the two schools that the Seawolves won last season at McCann Arena. From there, the Red Foxes will visit the Hagan Arena on November 13th to meet Saint Joseph's, with Providence up next from the Dunkin' Donuts Center on the 16th. Marist then travels to the Virgin Islands for the Paradise Jam, with their first game coming on November 22nd against Maryland, with either Northern Iowa or Loyola Marymount next on either the 23rd or 24th. The Red Foxes will then play one more game in the Paradise Jam on November 25th against either La Salle, Providence, Vanderbilt or Morgan State.

Following a three-week hiatus for final exams and the start of MAAC play, Marist will meet College of Charleston on December 15th in the Cougars' first season as members of the Colonial Athletic Association. The Red Foxes will then play their final two nonconference games at home, welcoming Bucknell to McCann Arena on December 20th and Penn to Poughkeepsie two days later.
