Projected to be a potential up-and-comer next season, Niagara will make their upward climb through the MAAC without one of their more integral pieces over the past two years.
Wesley Myers, the Purple Eagles' sophomore guard, announced his intent to transfer from Monteagle Ridge, and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
"I've decided to leave Niagara University after this semester," Myers tweeted late last night. "I'm thankful for everything the university has given me." Head coach Chris Casey has yet to comment at the time of this release.
This past season, Myers averaged 9.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game for a Niagara team that went 8-22, shooting 42 percent from three-point range.
