Fordham's Atlantic 10 schedule announced: Rams with eight national TV appearances

Nearly a week after Fordham's non-league schedule was announced, the Rams learned the remainder of their ledger this morning, as the Atlantic 10 revealed its conference schedule. All told, eight of the 18 conference games Fordham will contest will be played out in front of a nationally televised audience, including the Rams' A-10 opener at George Washington on January 3.

"I think the schedule sets up well for us," said head coach Jeff Neubauer in a release issued by the university. "I'm really looking forward to my first year at Fordham and my first year as a head coach in the Atlantic 10."

Following the trip to George Washington, a game that will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network, Fordham returns to Rose Hill Gymnasium for meetings with La Salle (January 6) and Richmond, (January 10) with NBCSN televising the latter. The American Sports Network makes its first appearance on the schedule with the Rams' excursion to VCU on January 13, while the road game against Saint Joseph's (January 16) and home tilt with George Mason (January 20) are not scheduled to be broadcast nationally at the moment.

Fordham's next three games will be nationally aired, beginning at home against Dayton on January 24 on the CBS Sports Network and continuing on the road against Rhode Island (January 27, ASN) and Massachusetts (January 30, CBSSN) before opening February with two home affairs, first against Saint Joseph's on the 6th before St. Bonaventure comes to Rose Hill on February 10.

The Rams travel to Richmond on February 13, and make their return to the national landscape in their second clash with Massachusetts, which will air on ASN February 17. Fordham's final national broadcast comes at Saint Louis on February 20 before closing out the regular season by alternating road and home games. A trip to La Salle on February 24 begins the stretch run, while Davidson comes to the Bronx three days later. March begins with a journey to Duquesne on March 2, with Dan Hurley and Rhode Island coming to Rose Hill once again in the regular season finale on March 5.

  1. A10 schedule will be a rude awakening after a weak OOC schedule.

  2. That OOC is there to pad the record which seems par for the course from his EKU days where their OOC's were also weak.
