If Fordham is to start their 2014-15 season on a winning note, they will need to do it without the presence of its leading scorer.
Sophomore guard Jon Severe, who scored 28 points in his debut last season to set a freshman scoring record, will miss the Rams' first contest on Friday against NYIT due to what head coach Tom Pecora termed an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Severe will rejoin the team one week from today, allowing him to play in Fordham's second game of the year, against Penn State on November 16.
Severe really has to grow up, as a player and as a person. Word is that his relationship with his team mates is very strained, a continuation of last year's problems. Would not be surprised to see him transfer. He thinks he's above his team mates and the Rams' program. Pecora does not have a good track record improving players with issues, or really players in general.
